I had heard that the grandson of Zecharia Sitchen, famous author of the Earth Chronicles, discovered several tablets that were written in Sumerian cuneiform. These tablets were found in the same location as the original tablets that are believed to be over 10,000 years old.
These tablets seemed to describe a social order in Sumer that translates into three basic concepts.
My dream is suddenly interrupted by an image that seems familiar and frightening at the same time. I believe it is Moses coming down the mountain with the stone tablets – the 10 Commandments.
Now I remember … just as I was to read about the 3 Golden Principles of the Sumer culture, the image of Moses came into my dream and the new principles to lead mankind into living a righteous life were being revealed … in this Charlton Hestonesque voice:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.
WOW! Out of one house of bondage into another. And as I recall it took 40 years … 40 years to find the promise land, that would take in today’s time, several hours in an SUV.
And when they found the land of milk and honey, it was inconveniently occupied, and they were instructed to kill every man, women, and child.
This is the direct orders of the author of the new map for a righteous life. ‘F’ that god, I say in a lucid state of courage … Somebody had to say it.
And a few more of the commandments drift through my consciousness, “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, and You shall not commit adultery, and You shall not steal. This is the mind of a control maniac … the antithesis of a self-directed authentic individual … and then once again the 3 Golden Principles of the Sumer culture float back into my awareness:
Principle I – Acceptance
Today I accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I do not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish they were.
Principle II – Responsibility
I take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.
Principle III – Defenselessness
Today my awareness remains established in Defenselessness. I relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I remain open to all points of view and am not rigidly attached to any one of them.
And just before I begin to wake up, I realize that the 10 Commandments and the fear of eternal damnation has been the single most destructive document in recorded human history.
And then I remember Principle I – …”the whole universe is as it should be” … past, present and future included.
And now I am sitting up and have awakened from my dream. I begin to wonder, “What would our world be like today if the 3 Golden Principles of the Sumer culture had become the prevailing philosophy on our planet.” Beware Master Key Experience …
